Performance, battery life and charging
The Matte 20 Lite is one of the first victims in this bloody battle, as it is equipped with the processor less powerful: the Kirin 710. The other three phones come equipped with the new and super-powerful processor Kirin 980 Huawei, with 128 GB on-board Storage, and up to 6 GB of RAM, which makes them equally powerful. However, the Matte 20 X comes with an innovative cooling system that uses graphene, and a steam chamber to keep the mobile cool. This should make the processor of the Matte 20 X can handle more demanding tasks without having to decrease your speed, which gives here a clear performance advantage.
Each of these phones also have a battery that is robust, and it is likely that all of can provide days of duration with a single charge. The battery of 5,000 mAh Matte 20 X is – by far – the most big, and shrink the battery of 4,200 mAh Mate 20 Pro. Only the Mate 20 Pro comes with the wireless charging Qi, but both the Mate 20 as the X come with fast charging SuperCharge Huawei. The manufacturer claims that the Mate 20 Pro can be recharged up to 70 per cent in 30 minutes, and the Mate 20 and the X are not very far from that speed.
If each phone is going pretty well in this category, we give this section to the Matte 20X for your cooling system and huge battery.
Winner: Huawei Mate 20X
Design and durability
While we can have qualms with respect to the series Mate 20 is not as attractive as the series P20 Pro, these phones certainly have their charm. Being the cheapest, the Mate 20 Lite is probably the least attractive, with a notch or tab quite thick. That said, it is an observation that depends on the eye that see, and still possessing an attractive design with its rear glass. The Matte 20 Pro also has a tab large, in which you are staying, the face detection technology in 3D, but it is also the only of the four with an AMOLED screen that curves over the body of glass. The Matt 20, and the Matte 20 X have a best notch –the tiny design of Dewdrop– and also feature glass structures of the first quality. That said, the Matte 20 X feel too big and almost impossible to handle with a single hand.
There is a winner more clear in terms of resistance. Each phone uses a structure of glass potentially fragile, but only the Matte 20 Pro has water-resistance is significant with a classification IP68. The Matte 20 is rated IP54 splash resistant, while the Matte 20 X has a rating IP53 even lower. The Matte 20 Lite does not have resistance no.
It is difficult to decide a winner in terms of design, and while we prefer the notch type “drop of dew” Matte 20 Matte and 20X, the water resistance of the Mate 20 Pro tips the scales to your favor.
Winner: Huawei Mate 20 Pro
There is a wide range of large screens here, from 6.3 to 7.2 inches. But size is not everything, and is the AMOLED screen Matte 20 Pro which has the best resolution. The LCD screens of the gourd 20 and Lite are great, but they pale to become insignificant by the side of the black ink and the vibrant colors of the Matte 20 Pro. The 20X also has an AMOLED screen, but the Matte 20 Pro is also the only one with a resolution of 1440p: the rest with a maximum resolution of 1080p. While the large notch can be annoying, it is still easily the screen more bright, clear and beautiful of the group.
Winner: Huawei Mate 20 Pro
The Matte 20 Lite will always be the most weak, and even though their camera lenses 20 and 2-megapixel do a good job, is not to the height of the configurations of lenses triples of the other three phones. The Matte 20 comes with an ultra wide-angle 16 megapixels, a wide-angle 12-megapixel camera and a telephoto lens of 8 megapixels. We expect this camera to take some amazing photos, but not as much as the wide-angle lens 40 megapixel ultra wide-angle lens 20-megapixel camera and the telephoto lens 3x 8-megapixel camera that will come in the Matt 20 Pro and Matte 20X.
Matt 20 Pro and Matte 20X also coincide in other areas, with the same lens selfie of 24 megapixels, the same settings and modes adjusted by Artificial Intelligence, which include some video modes amazing that change the view in real-time. They are equal in terms of pure video, since both can take 4K movies at 30 frames per second and super slow motion 960 fps.
Matt 20 Pro Mate and 20X are the same on the paper… at least, until we have tried for days to see if they differ in real terms. For the moment, we cannot desempatarlos.
Winners: Matt 20 Pro and Matte 20X
Software and updates
Much eye, fans of Android: you will find the skin Emotion UI (EMUI) Huawei about Android in every one of these phones. However, the Mate 20 Lite loses quickly, as it is running Android 8.1 Oreo, and still has not been confirmed if you will receive or not an update of Android 9.0 Foot. Each one of the other phones comes with the latest EMUI 9 distributed about Android 9.0 Foot. It is a surprise to see this operating system in the phones of Huawei so fast: a mask too as customized EMUI often takes months to be updated, so that we would not expect to see a phone from Huawei with a Foot for a good time. It is a pleasant surprise, in any case, and an excellent omen for the subsequent updates of the Matt 20, Pro and X. Espéralos see the Android Q, and possibly Android R in these phones also.
Winners: Huawei Mate 20, Matt 20 Pro and Matte 20 X
You will find the game mode super-amplified from Huawei, the GPU Turbo, in every one of these phones, and there is also an advanced A. I. (Artificial Intelligence) embedded in each one of them, which will recognize the scenes in your camera, manage your resources as you play and they will enhance the function of emoji ARmoje style Animoji of Qmoji. The Artificial Intelligence, however, goes even further in the Matt 20, Pro and 20X, by driving the filters in real-time and placing them on top of the video and the identification of objects. These three phones will also have access to the new navigation gestures from Huawei.
But it is the Matte 20 Pro the that brings together more special features. It is the only phone that comes with a scanner of fingerprints on the screen, as well as a facial recognition advanced to the level of FaceID Apple, as well as the ability to roll back the wireless charging, put a load device is wireless on the Mate 20 Pro, and the phone Huawei will charge the other device. It is crazy, yes, but we love it.
Winner: Huawei Mate 20 Pro
None of these phones was officially released in the united States, but you can get one through an importer, provided that you do not worry pay the corresponding tax. But remember: they will not work with Verizon or Sprint.
But with the arrival of the serial Matte 30, Huawei in 2019 prices will be lower, the Mate 20 Pro was launched 1,049 euros (around $1.220 dollars), while the Matt 20 had an initial value of €799 euros (about $930 dollars). The Matte 20X cost originally €899 euros (approximately $1,050 usd), while the Matt 20 was available for only 380 pounds sterling (approximately $500).
It would have been embarrassing for Huawei if your phone is more advanced it would not have won this battle: the flagship model more advanced Huawei has come out victorious, thanks in large part to its amazing camera, its AMOLED screen that includes the scanner of fingerprints, as well as an advanced technology of facial recognition. If money is not an impediment for you, the Mate 20 Pro is definitely the phone that you must get.
But the others are not far behind. The Matte 20 Lite is an excellent phone at a price quite convenient. The Matte 20 is still a flagship device exceptional is comparable to the Galaxy S9, as well as the Mate 20 Pro looks like the Galaxy Note 9. The Matte 20 X is a phone with no equivalent in the competition, but it is clearly the phone that you should buy, if you want to have the biggest screen possible, or a game device mobile powerful like no other.
Whatever you choose will make you happy. We, at least, we would pick the Mate 20 Pro to use it every day.
