Three new characters and two exciting video games coming to the world of Pokémon. During the presentation of the Pokémon Direct on the 27th of February, Nintendo and Game Freak officially announced the two games role Pokémon will Nintendo Switch: Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are on their way, and seek to combine mechanical more deep with the magnificent artistic style of Let’s Go.
The development of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is located in the new region of Galar. It is an area varied with environments that are green in the parts south and center of the map, and the snow-capped mountains in the north. During the presentation, the developers said that the region is industrialized with the help of human and Pokémon alike, working together in harmony. Unlike the previous games Sun and Moon, there will be gyms classic, and you will need to work to become a Champion Pokémon.
Three-character initials for the games have also been revealed, in the areas of Fire (fire), Grass (pasture) and Water (water). The fire is “Scorbunny”, a small creature and a cunning that seems deceptively dangerous. The Pokémon of grass is “Grookey”, whom Game Freak described it as a “chimpanzee” green, and the water is “Sobble”, that is shy and prefers to hide from enemies under the water, so that might not be the best choice for the battle. That said, the developments can drastically alter the Pokémon, both in appearance and abilities, so maybe Sobble be more terrible after a few levels and a bit of experience in battle.
Although these are new games, the Pokémon will be caught the old fashioned way, with random battles that will replace the monsters visible that are seen in Let’s Go. The battles of trainers, and the fights against wild Pokemon are still included, and Game Freak said that his goal is to make the game good both for veteran players and for those who are completely new to the series.
