Fans of Pokémon Go have something to celebrate. Just in time for the holiday season, the long-awaited PvP mode called “Trainer Battles” is now available. This means that you will be able to participate in battle of the coaches of a three in three with friends, opponents nearby and the AI Team Leaders are team leaders that are controlled by artificial intelligence, and earn rewards.
Initially, it was reported that Niantic started to deploy this function of augmented reality for players of level 40, but it quickly became accessible also for players of level 10, which will be the minimum standing required to be able to enjoy this game mode.
To start a battle, the trainers can challenge nearby opponents using the new system of invitation of Battle Code. To do this you need to head to the area which is under the tab Nearby, and then scan physically the QR code. When you do this, a screen will appear that will show the coach that will be your opponent, and you’ll be able to respond by choosing “Let’s do it!”(“Let’s do it!”) or “No, gracias”(“No, thanks”). Players can also challenge their friends online remotely, provided they have reached the level of friendship Ultra or higher.
Both the winners and the losers will get a reward for participating in every battle, being the main prizes Stardust and Candy. The rewards are limited to three per day for the battles of the coach against coach, and one per day for battles and Leaders of the Team, although coaches can participate in as many battles as they wish.
It is good that you take into account that the battles are not based on turns, but develop in real time, which requires that the coaches will use their screens to launch attacks. Each encounter Trainer Battle has a time limit of about four minutes, but Niantic has been known that this could be subject to changes, depending on comments they receive from the players.
