Apple iPad Pro 2018

Both the new iPad Pro 11-inch as the old iPad Pro 10.5-inch have excellent performance, but one of them is clearly better than the other. The iPad Pro 11-inch features the new processor A12X Bionic Apple, which has been acclaimed since its announcement to offer a performance laptop of first level. The A10X Fusion oldest is a great chip, but does not compare with the new.

On the other hand, the duration of the battery of the two tablets is almost the same. Apple says that both devices will get around 10 hours of web browsing, so we don’t expect many differences between the two. None of the two is charging wirelessly, although Apple adopted this option for the new iPhones and the Apple Watch.

Due to the better performance, the new iPad Pro 11-inch is the clear winner in this category.

Winner: iPad Pro 11-inch

Apple iPad Pro 2018

The new iPad Pro and its predecessor present the classic design of Apple, but from 2018 it takes everything to a higher level. With a screen edge to edge, the bezels are much smaller than the previous generation. Add to that the nice flat edges, and you’ll have a device to ultra-modern.

That’s not to say that the previous generation of the iPad Pro will not see well. You still have a beautiful aluminum construction and a stylish look, in addition that is available in some additional colors: pink gold (Rose Gold) and gold. The iPad Pro 11-inch is only available in grey (Space Grey) and silver.

Both iPads should have the same durability for their endorsements of aluminum similar, and as the two have the front glass, could obviously break if you drop it.

Perhaps the biggest design difference between the two tablets is the fact that Apple has gotten rid of the port for headphones in the new iPad 11 inches, and you don’t have the port Lightning, which has been replaced by a USB-C more versatile. That means that now you can do more with the new iPad Pro, as connect it to external displays or use it to charge your iPhone. We believe that the addition of USB-C exceeds the absence of hearing aids so that the latter model takes the victory, but you could opine otherwise.

Despite include OLED displays in other products, Apple is attached to the LCD screen for the iPad. The 2017 has a screen of 10.5 inches, while the new reaches 11 inches.

The resolution is slightly sharper on the iPad Pro, 11-inch, but both have a density of 264 pixels per inch. Also retain the technology ProMotion of Apple, which offers a refresh rate of 120Hz to use more fluid.

Even so, due to the fact that the iPad Pro 2018 has a screen a bit bigger, even if it is only a small difference, is the winner.

While it is possible that you do not use your iPad to take pictures as you or would you do with your smartphone, the camera can still be important, especially when it comes to video chat. The good thing is that the cameras are almost the same in both tablets. The rear camera comes with 12 megapixels, while the front camera has 7 megapixels.

However, the iPad Pro 2018 still takes the victory, as it comes with Smart HDR, a feature introduced in the iPhones of this year. Help with the lighting high contrast, and should offer a better experience of camera.

Both tablets are running iOS 12, although it is possible that you will have to update the iPad Pro 10.5-inch when get. Due to the way in which Apple handles the updates, both will get new versions of iOS as they are released. The 11-inch is a year newer, so that can be supported with updates for longer. Just for that, once more is the winner.

The overall experience will be largely the same, but there are some differences to keep in mind. To start with, the new iPad Pro 11-inch offers Face Apple ID, which allows you to unlock the device with facial recognition as you can do with the iPhones more new. It is also compatible with the new Apple Pencil, which can be connected magnetically to the tablet for pairing and charging wirelessly. The iPad Pro oldest has a fingerprint sensor and a home button, that can be the only special feature it has over the newer model.

Another important feature of the iPad Pro of 11 inches, as mentioned, is the fact that it has a USB port-C, which essentially gives you access to a variety of accessories peripherals.

Winner: iPad Pro 11-inch

The iPad Pro 2018 is clearly better, and that’s reflected in the price. While the basic model of the 10.5-inch costs $650 dollars, the tablet 11 inch increases its price up to $800 dollars. In other words, if you want that additional processing power, a screen edge-to-edge and access the Apple Pencil improved, you will have to pay for it.

For other models, the iPad Pro 2017 10.5-inch costs $800 dollars, if you want 256 GB, and $1,000 if you prefer to 512 GB. For the iPad Pro 11-inch-new, you need to spend $950 dollars for the model of 256 GB, $1,150 dollars for the model of 512 GB and $1,550 dollars for the model of 1 TB.

There is no surprise. The 2018 11-inch is the winner. This device has a better processor, a bigger screen and a more modern design. If you’re looking for a tablet more powerful than you can buy, is that you must choose.

That’s not to say that the iPad 10.5-inch is not a great option. Account with an excellent performance and a classic design, and still have a port for headphones. Our advice is that, if you simply want a tablet for play or use in the home, the iPad Pro 10.5-inch is more than enough, or even you can be more than satisfied with the iPad basic of $330 dollars. But if you’re looking for power and performance for professional use, choose the tablet more new.
