To continue with the announcements of CES 2021, Asus presented its new line of laptops and monitors to compete in a market that had as one of its great novelties the unveiling of the eleventh generation of Intel Rocket Lake-S processors .
Precisely, several of the laptops announced by Asus incorporate the eleventh generation Intel processors. The ZenBook Duo 14 stands out, which incorporates a touch panel above the keyboard. In the gaming segment, the big news is the ROG Strix SCAR 17, which incorporates the powerful AMD Ryzen 9 processor and the GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card.

ROG Flow X13
It is a discreet and lightweight 13-inch laptop that promises a range of up to 10 hours of play on a full charge. It incorporates an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card. It is a laptop with mid-range features, but stands out for its lightweight design and long battery life.
ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 SE
This model stands out because it incorporates an additional touch screen located next to the keyboard. Although the screen has no prominent uses in video games, it can be used by content creators as a small additional monitor. The processor is an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card. The main screen has a 4K resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is a high-end model.
ROG Strix SCAR 17
The star model in terms of power. The processor is also an AMD 9 5900HX with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card and up to 64 GB RAM. Asus claims that the ROX Strix SCAR 17 has the fastest display in laptops, with a WQHD (1440p) with a refresh rate of 360Hz.
A really striking model for its compact design, similar to that of Razer laptops. Unlike the other models in the ROG series, the TUF Dash uses an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor with a GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card. The screen has a 240Hz refresh rate and Asus claims that the battery offers up to 16.6 hours video playback.
ROG Swift PG32UQ Monitor
Asus says this monitor is the first 32-inch monitor to feature HDMI 2.1, the standard needed to display 4K graphics at 120 frames per second shown by the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles. The monitor supports G-Sync and a function designed by Asus to reduce noise in the picture. Asus says the monitor will be available in the first quarter of the year.
Laptops for home or work
ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED (UX582)
Asus' flagship option for the business segment. It is a 15-inch laptop with an additional 4K screen located next to the keyboard. It incorporates an Intel Core i9 processor and an Nvidia GeForce 3070 graphics card. Asus and Nvidia call it "the best laptop for content creators."
ZenBook Duo 14 (UX482)
This laptop has practically the same design as the flagship UX582, although its specifications are more modest. The screen is 14 inches and although the processor is also an 11th generation Intel, the default configuration of the laptop lacks a dedicated graphics card. However, Asus says it can be configured with an Nvidia GeForce MX450.
VivoBook S14 (S435)
For the mid-range segment, Asus renews the VivoBook line with the S14 with a 14-inch screen and a discreet design that does not exceed 1.3 kilograms in weight. Connectivity is guaranteed with a variety of USB ports ranging from the still new first-generation 3.2 to Type A and 2.0. Also in this line Asus opts for Intel processors.
ExpertBook B9 (B9400 vPro)
Asus' bet to compete with Apple's MacBook Air. Asus claims that the ExpertBook B9 is the lightest 14-inch laptop on the market at just 880 grams. Inside there is also an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor.
Chromebook CX9 (CX9400)
Asus renews its line of Chromebooks with a model with high-end features. The CX9400 packs an 11th-generation Intel processor, WiFi 6, Harman Kardon audio, and an anti-glare Full HD display at around 1 kilogram of weight.
A low-end model designed for school. The processor is a discrete Intel Pentium Silver, however, unlike the 2020 generation of Chromebook, the internal storage jumps from 64 to 128 GB and up to 1 TB in a model with M.2 solid state drive Incorporates WiFi 6 , compatibility with 4G networks and a battery with autonomy "for the whole day".
Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5500)
This Chromebook is meant for entertainment. Asus is not exactly talking about Netflix, but about Stadia, Google's cloud video game service. The screen is 15.6 inches, the storage can be configured up to 512 GB and the battery lasts up to 12 hours. The most striking feature is that, by design, the screen can be rotated to turn the laptop into a tablet.
