GoPro has manufactured some of the best action cameras in the world, including our idolized GoPro Hero5 Black, in addition to setting the real standard by which they should be bound virtually all of these portable devices. And while the GoPro cameras can cost fairly, are not the only name that flows through the city, as many other manufacturers have gotten into the business and have created their own cameras alternative to GoPro.
Just of them you want to talk about. There are excellent options, including some models 4K that won’t leave you in the red. While Go Pro is still always at the highest, an action camera affordable can give you a similar performance. This is our selection:
THE BEST OF ALL
Camera Campark 4K water-proof – $55 dollars
Although this action camera Campark does not have the same impact that the GoPro Hero 5, you can rest assured that you will do an excellent job. With ability to record video 4K-30 frames per second, this inexpensive alternative to the GoPro is ideal for outdoor adventures, both on land and by water. With a remote control Wifi, this sports camera also lets you control it using your smart phone in real-time. In addition, you can instantly send images and videos by email or upload them to social networks, all from the palm of your hand.
For only $53 dollars, the Campark is an excellent and affordable alternative to the GoPro.
HDCool 4K Action Camera – $50
Not only is technology making these cameras smaller and more affordable, but they also now don’t have to go into debt to get a resolution capability of 4K video. The most egregious example is the camera HDCool 4K ACTION. Its specifications are not as impressive as the line GoPro Hero, but HDCool is not far behind. This small unit records 4K video at 25 fps or 1080p at 60 fps, and also has an image sensor of 16MP photos. Its wide-angle lens of 170 degrees ensures that you will not miss detail, and in addition the device comes with several different assemblies and a waterproof cover which works at depths of up to 100 feet, along with some other accessories. Competitive alternatives from GoPro usually are between $100 and $130 dollars, but you can take the action camera HDCool 4K for just $50 dollars. It may not be the GoPro Hero6 Black, but it is affordable, water resistant and has a video quality very acceptable for its price.
Yi Discovery 4K – $60
This excellent camera wearable is of the famous company Yi Technology, which, in recent years, has become a strong competitor of GoPro. Recently, the company managed to beat GoPro in a contract it signed with Google for a project of virtual reality. This action camera is capable of recording 4K video at 30 frames per second or 1080p at 120 fps for a video quality true HD. It has a wide-angle lens 155 degrees to capture all the action, and also a full-color touchscreen display of 2.19 inches that show you everything as it happens. In addition, the connectivity Bluetooth and Wifi allows you to sync to your mobile device so you can manage the footage with the app’s Yi Action.
The Yi 4K is available on Amazon for $170 dollars, but if you use a coupon you will get an extra discount of 10% (redeemable on the website), and the price of the camera is reduced to only $153.
Vtech Kidizoom – $35
If you’re a young adventurer or an aspiring photographer of action stuck in the bottom of your soul, then you should take a look at the Kidizoom from Vtech, very suitable for children —not to mention how cute it will be to your wallet. This action camera is easy to use, capture video and photos, and in addition is loaded with filters preset effects and editing. The Kidizoom comes with a water resistant casing up to 6 feet, perfect for wearing to the pool or to the beach, along with a bike mount and a support plane sticker, but it doesn’t work very well in low light.
It may not be a Her0 5 Black, GoPro Hero 3 or Hero 5, but with a price of $29.50 ($20.50 discount), is a great action camera cheap for any aspiring Indiana Jones that is worth its salt.
Intova Dub Action Camera – $38 dollars
The Intova Dub is especially designed for adventures in the lake, the ocean or the pool, all thanks to a waterproof housing and can withstand depths up to 200 feet. Better still, this same housing fleet so that if you drop it in the water will remain safe and will be easy to retrieve. The Dub records Full HD video with a resolution of 1080p with your lens 108 degrees, and has a LCD screen of 1.5 inches. Its internal battery lasts up to two hours before needing a recharge, and its hole threaded mount is compatible with the brackets and standard accessories existing in the market of accessories.
The Intova Dub normally costs about $100 dollars at most retailers, but you can find it for only $35 at B&H, after a superb discount of $ 65. If you are looking for an alternative to GoPro really affordable, Yuntab is an excellent entry level choice. Although still not have the capability to 4K, it does include video recording up to 1080p, a wide-angle lens and a vibrant 2 inch LCD screen. The Yuntab also use a sensor of 5-megapixel camera for taking still pictures. Includes a durable cover to water-proof, which makes the Yuntab perfect for all of your underwater adventures to a depth of up to 100 feet.
For only $24 dollars on Amazon, the Yuntab 1080p is the perfect choice for those that want to start in the world of action cameras, without having to spend an arm and a leg.
Sony HDR-AS50 1080P Action Camcorder – $168 us $
Sony has also gotten to the dance of the action cameras in recent years, and its line of video recorders portable offers a unique alternative and not too expensive traditional designs. The camcorder action camera HDR-AS50 is especially designed for mounting a variety of outdoor equipment, from helmets to bicycles. Unlike other action cameras which feature a touch screen built in, this model from Sony comes with a remote control in vivo which adheres to your wrist, giving you a display screen and control so that you don’t have to be tinkering with the camera constantly. The HDR-AS50 also records videos in crisp 1080p at 60 fps or 720p 120 fps, and utilizes a sensor of 12MP for still photographs.
A discount of $30 leaves the Sony HDR-AS50 1080p $168 usd in B&H.
Ion Air Pro 2 Action Camcorder – $121 $
A more economical alternative to the Sony camcorder is the Air Pro 2 Ion. It has a similar shape, which makes it ideal for mounting on bikes, cars, boats, and more. The Air Pro 2 can take videos in 1080p Full HD at 30 frames per second, and can also take still photos in 14MP, burst and time-lapse. The camera is water-resistant at depths of up to 30 feet, and this without the need of a box or case separate. Its battery lasts up to 2.5 hours.
Also comes with a handy bike mount, and at this price, is an excellent choice as an action camera for cyclists, children and adolescents. The Ion Air Pro 2 is one of the alternatives to GoPro cheaper and with style of camcorder, and its price reaches $121 $ on Amazon.
Polaroid Cube – $40
Can that Polaroid is most known for its cameras, classic instant print, but the company has managed to keep up by offering their own line of affordable alternatives to the GoPro, taking also the iconic design Polaroid with the stripes of the rainbow. The action camera Polaroid Cube 1080p is as attractive as it is affordable, with a wide-angle lens of 124 degrees and a casing of hard rubber and quite sturdy.
The Polaroid Cube is compatible with a wide range of media, but it also has the magnets built in to facilitate its attachment to metal surfaces. Previously, it cost between $100 and $120, but you can find it for $45 on Amazon.
