While the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and the new iPhones Xs, Xs Max and XR take weeks hogging most of the attention, the chinese manufacturer Huawei has created some of the phones are really impressive. Their flagship, the Huawei P20 and the P20 Pro, these are models that you must not lose sight of, as they offer beautiful designs and unique configurations of double and triple chamber. If you manage to get your hands on one (complicated thing if you live in EE.USA), we give you here a few tricks of the Huawei P20, which will help you get the most out of it.
How to change the keyboard?
When you set up for the first time, your Huawei P20 or P20 Pro, one of the first details that are seen is the keyboard SwiftKey pre-installed. But if you’re not a fan of this, don’t worry, it is easy to change to another keyboard application.
If you prefer, for example, use Google Gboard, first of all, download the app in the Google Play Store. Once installed, go to Settings> System> Language and input> default Keyboard. Even though most of these applications can be uninstalled, only a few can be disabled. How to personalize your start screen?
The P20 and the P20 Pro has several options that allow you to customize your smart phone. For access to these customization tools, first of all, tap and hold on an empty area of the start screen. Then, you will see several icons customization at the bottom of the screen. Tap Wallpaper to change the wallpaper you have and lock screens.
There you can swipe through the different options at the bottom of the screen or touch the button Gallery to use one of your own photos. You will also find the icons Illusion and Scrollable to allow you more flexibility with your displays. Once you have selected your wallpaper to desired, simply tap the check mark in the upper right corner and select from the options Lock screen, home Screen or Both.
The widgets allow you to add small versions of your favorite apps to your home screen for quick access. To add a widget to your screen, tap the icon of the Widgets and drag your bookmark to an empty area on the home screen. If you want to change the size or delete a widget, tap and hold to remodel or drag it to the icon to Remove at the top right of the notification bar.
Transitions allow you to change the animation used when you move from one screen to another or open an application. To change the default transition, tap and hold the home screen and tap the icon for Transitions. Touch the different transition options to get a preview of the animation. Once you select your transition, ideal, tap in an empty area of the home screen to enable it.
How to remove the operator name?
The notch in the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro creates a notification bar quite saturated at the top of the screen. Fortunately, it is fairly easy to gain a little more space to hide the operator name in the notification bar. To do this go to Settings> Applications and notifications> notifications and status bar on and off to Show the name of the operator.
How to disable the navigation bar?
If you are looking for a complete experience on your screen, Huawei allows you to remove the navigation bar of Android on your P20 or P20 Pro. Currently there are a few options for replacing it as the navigation key on the screen and the fingerprint sensor as a navigation key out of screen. Best of all is that with the latter, you can control your phone with the fingerprint sensor. A single tap acts as the button Back, pressing and holding goes to his house, and a slide to the right opens the recent apps.
