Computers always connected promises Qualcomm Snapdragon

The computers are always connected to have become a small but growing niche that seems to emulate the segment phone. Stand out features like long battery life, quick load, quick boot times, and recovery, and mobile data connections and wifi.

Although Intel has been a relevant actor, Qualcomm has always used it as an option for their hardware, traditionally aimed at mobile devices, specifically their systems-on-chip (SoC) Snapdragon.

The laptops equipped with the Snapdragon 835 and 850 received mixed reviews, but the new 8cx, 8c and 7c are hoping to improve the perception. While these last two products are not as powerful, have lower thermal requirements and energy, and should provide a wider selection of options.

With such a range, Qualcomm expects manufacturers to do the same: offer a wide range of devices with additional power or a greater duration of the battery, without any of the options mean sacrificing connectivity or performance. As it is, it is very likely that you do not see machines equipped with such pieces.

What tells us the datasheet? Snapdragon 7c has a new CPU Kryo 468 of eight cores, but a GPU Adreno 618, which augurs well for graphics weak, given that prior was used in the version 730. Despite the fears, the manufacturer ensures that it will be 20 percent more capable than the competition and enables up to twice the length of the battery.

It is said that the 8c is built on an advanced process node 7 nm, which gives an additional performance. Although it is 30 percent faster than the 850, not Qualcomm did not reveal what CPU or GPU it equips. Only limited to say, it has a “GPU powerful” high-potential graph.

Both SoC also exhibit connectivity cellular data high speed, thanks to the modems Snapdragon LTE integrated: X15 for the 7c, and X24 for the 8c. The latter enjoys connectivity multi-gigabit, with a bandwidth superior wireless.

The 8cx, finally, was designed for commercial customers and will reach laptops in the world of work in the near future. Also based on a process node of 7 nm, it will benefit from a greater support of security software and the integration of a core also risk-free.
