In the framework of CES 2021 , Sony continues to debut, this time to present its SRS-RA5000 and SRS-RA3000 speakers , which have spatial audio technology as their peculiarity.
"Lying on the couch with a good book or showing off your chef skills in the kitchen, the ambient sound from this compact wireless speaker (SRS-RA3000) will fill the room to provide the perfect background music," explains the Japanese company. .
Sony reports that tracks with 360 Reality Audio produce "exceptional ambient sound" as they contain three-dimensional location data. But when these are absent, Immersive Audio Enhancement kicks in, a Sony algorithm that provides stereo playback with sound that also “floods” space.
Some music platforms compatible with 360 Reality Audio are Deezer, Tidal, and nugs.net, according to the manufacturer.
With a design somewhat reminiscent of the Sonos Move , the SRS-RA3000 features a beam tweeter that creates floor-to-ceiling audio, while its dual passive radiator produces deep bass. It is compatible with technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Spotify Connect, and Chromecast.
The SRS-RA5000, with a triangular finish, has Sound Calibration, like the SRS-RA3000, in order to adapt to the place where it is installed. However, it differs by including Hi-Res Audio certification, three speakers that distribute the audio vertically and the same amount in the middle area that distributes it horizontally.
Likewise, it integrates drivers with neodymium magnets and a mica-reinforced cellular diaphragm for greater part solidity.
In terms of availability, both speakers – which are compatible with Alexa and the Google Assistant – will hit the shelves starting next February.
